Welcome/Goodbye handles welcome and goodbye messages with extra automation.

What it does

• Posts global welcome messages when users join, and goodbye messages when they leave.
• Automatically assigns or unassigns roles after a configured time interval.
• Captures join and leave activity so your staff can spot onboarding trends over time.

Setup

• Welcome: Configure the channel and message template (use variables for username, server, etc.).
• Goodbye: Configure the channel and message template for departures.
• Timed roles: Choose which roles to grant or remove after a delay (e.g., “New Member” for 7 days).

Tips

• Keep welcome messages concise and link to onboarding (e.g., Onboarding Flows or Commands).
• Use timed roles to guide new members without granting long-term permissions.
• Review onboarding outcomes regularly to refine your retention strategy.
