Spotlight

Purpose

Spotlight reposts qualifying messages to a spotlight channel once reaction conditions are met.

Prerequisites

• Access to spotlight panel.
• Destination spotlight channel.
• Reaction emoji and threshold policy.

Dashboard Settings

• spotlight_name
• target_channel_id
• reaction_emoji
• min_required_reactions (minimum 1)
• enable_self_react
• enable_starpost_react
• disabled_channel_ids
• disabled_role_ids
• Optional rewards:
  • spotlights_count_required
  • utility_role_ids
• Optional Message Forge output config: spotlight_mf_config_id

• No direct slash command.

Permissions And Entitlements

• Panel access through Permissions.
• Reward role assignment depends on valid role selection and thresholds.

Operational Example

1. Set emoji to ⭐, threshold to 5, and pick target channel.
2. Post a test message and react to threshold.
3. Confirm repost appears in spotlight channel.

Edge Cases

• Reward roles require both spotlights_count_required and non-empty utility_role_ids.
• Invalid emoji serialization is rejected on save.

Troubleshooting

• No repost: verify threshold, emoji match, and exclusion lists.
• Reward not applied: verify role list, threshold, and user spotlight count.
