Setup & Configuration

LFG System

InfiniTea’s LFG (Looking for Group) system lets you host time-bound activities with automated cleanup and optional voice requirements. Configure it from the dashboard’s LFG panel.

Command Container channel

  • Create a standalone text channel to host the interactive LFG command container.
  • Post /post_lfg in this channel so members can launch the creation workflow from a persistent, uncluttered message.
  • Keep the channel focused on the container—archive or move other chatter elsewhere so the flow stays obvious.

Participant Destination channel

  • Choose the channel where participant-facing posts should appear. This keeps the command container clean while coordination happens in a separate feed.
  • Each new LFG post is threaded (or posted) here with live updates until it closes automatically.

Maximum posts per user

  • Define how many active LFG posts each user can host per configuration.
  • When someone hits the limit, the bot blocks new submissions until one of their events ends or is cancelled.
  • Use this safeguard to prevent a handful of hosts from flooding the queue.

Require voice participation (optional)

  • Enforce that the host—or any participant—is connected to the linked voice channel when the scheduled start time arrives.
  • If nobody is in voice at kickoff (including users who briefly join and leave), the bot automatically closes the LFG post and cleans up the associated text and voice resources.
  • LFG posts still close at their configured end time, but voice channels remain available as long as members stay connected.
  • The feature integrates with Voice Forge so you retain manual controls (lock, invite, rename) while automation enforces attendance and cleanup.
